Worship Style
WE ARE FULL OF FAITH AND HONEST ABOUT OUR DOUBTS AND MISTAKES
We are a church rooted in tradition, but not stuck in it.
Worshiping at peace
Youth rapping Peace’s mission statement
During COVID-19, we have committed to online worship through the month of June, and maintain all the usual elements of worship. The majority of our liturgy, a word which actually means “work of the people,” is led by individuals and families within the safety of their own homes. Only Pastor Elizabeth and Director Amy film in the sanctuary, carefully practicing crucial safety measures.

Christmas 2018
Worship at Peace is rooted in tradition and committed to diversity. We generally hold two nearly identical services at 8:30 and 11:00 uplifted by our growing music ensembles. Lively Learning (Sunday School) classes for all ages are held at 9:45 a.m. In summer (early June through Labor Day) we hold one service at 9:30 followed by coffee and meaningful conversation.
Peace loves having kids in worship: Pastor Elizabeth includes a children's sermon every week, and we invite them to join in Communion. Children in kindergarten and younger may exit during the sermon for supervised learning and return for Communion. While Childcare is provided, we love the sights and sounds of babies too!
Pentecost 2019
A major part of Protestant worship is the sermon, and we expect you'll enjoy and be uplifted by the engaging sermons of Pastor Elizabeth. Her gentle and joyous spirit (and her occasional North Carolina drawl) will embrace you, surprise you, and, we hope, nudge you forward in your relationship with Christ.
Whether it is through familiar hymns or new spiritual songs, beautiful visual art or the sight of children walking up to Communion, you too will feel God's presence among our people.
