Matthew 25 at Peace
Peace is a proud Matthew 25 Church, committed to building congregational vitality, dismantling structural racism, and eradicating systemic poverty. One way we live out this calling is through our partnership with STREAM (Stronger Together Reaching Equality Across Manatee), a justice ministry working for affordable housing and restorative justice in Manatee County.
Living the Gospel. Seeking Justice. Building Community.
Peace Presbyterian Church is honored to be part of the Matthew 25 movement in the PC(USA), a bold vision that calls churches to actively engage in the world around them through compassion, justice, and transformational discipleship.
In becoming a Matthew 25 congregation, we are committed to:
Building Congregational Vitality
We challenge one another to grow deeper in faith and discipleship, while joyfully engaging our neighbors in service, worship, and everyday acts of love.
Dismantling Structural Racism
We advocate and act to break down the unjust systems, practices, and thinking that harm people of color. This work is rooted in both our Christian calling and our shared humanity.
Eradicating Systemic Poverty
We work alongside community partners to change the structures that exploit and marginalize people who are poor—seeking equity, opportunity, and dignity for all.
Peace is a proud member of Stronger Together Reaching Equality Across Manatee (STREAM)—a coalition of faith communities in Manatee County committed to racial and economic justice.
In this season, STREAM is advocating for:
Affordable housing solutions
Reducing unnecessary arrests through more restorative approaches
We believe that real faith leads to real change, and together, we are working for a more just and compassionate community.
