Music & Arts Ministry
“I will sing of your love and justice; to you, LORD, I will sing praise.”
We praise God with all kinds of instruments and voices of all ages.
Every musical gift has a place at Peace.
The Voices of Peace
Our sanctuary choir features an energetic group of dedicated youth and adults singing traditional, spiritual, and newly-composed anthems. On Wednesday nights at 7pm from September through May, we grow in faith, friendship, and musical skills.
Ringers of Peace
Peace was blessed with a wonderful gift of handbells for “ringing in” hymns, preludes, and other pieces throughout our worship. This fun group includes many youth and adults, joining with our young ringers for special occasions as well, rehearsing at 6pm from September through May.
Youth Musicians
Whether with singing or instrumental music, accompanying hymns or offering solo music, our weekly worship services regularly feature youth musicians.
Drama
Thespians of all ages have lived out the Biblical stories to celebrate Christmas, Palm Sunday, Maundy Thursday, Easter, Pentecost, Reformation Sunday, and other special occasions such as the Living Nativity.
Music & Worship Conference
Every year, kids and youth from Peace travel to the mountains of North Carolina for the Music & Worship Conference. This conference offers a full week of intergenerational worship and music for professionals, clergy, laypersons, choirs, youth groups, and families.
Concert Series
We hold an annual concert series offering several performances a year for the Lakewood Ranch community and benefitting scholarships for graduating seniors at Peace who have offered their musical gifts over the years.
