Peace Presbyterian Mission

At Peace Presbyterian, our mission is rooted in service, compassion, and faith. As part of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.), we are dedicated to inspiring, equipping, and connecting our community in three key areas:

  • Evangelism & Discipleship – Sharing the message of Christ and nurturing spiritual growth.

  • Servant Leadership – Developing leaders who serve with humility and purpose.

  • Justice & Reconciliation – Working toward equity, healing, and unity in our world.

As a Matthew 25 congregation, we are committed to serving those in need. We take Christ’s call to action seriously—feeding the hungry, sheltering the homeless, clothing the vulnerable, and caring for the sick and imprisoned.

Recognizing the many blessings we have received, we strive to be a blessing to others in the name of Jesus Christ. Our outreach extends to local and global communities through:

  • Supporting Presbyterian denominational missions and local nonprofits.

  • Partnering with organizations through volunteering, donations, and service.

  • Contributing a meaningful portion of our budget to mission efforts.

  • Encouraging our congregation to give cheerfully and generously.

We invite you to join us in making a difference—through prayer, service, and giving—as we seek to embody Christ’s love in action.

Living Out Our Mission

“Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.”

— I Peter 4:10

At Peace Presbyterian, we are committed to making a meaningful difference in our community and beyond. Through hands-on service, partnerships, and giving, we support a variety of mission initiatives that reflect Christ’s call to care for those in need.

Our Mission in Action

Our congregation actively participates in mission work through:

  • Turning Points – Supporting efforts to prevent homelessness by working in the day resource center, organizing donation drives, and assisting with special projects.

  • Meals on Wheels Plus & Manatee County Food Bank – Conducting food drives and delivering meals to those in need.

  • Habitat for Humanity – Helping build homes for families in Manatee County.

  • CROP Walk – Raising funds to combat hunger locally and globally.

  • Presbyterian Disaster Assistance – Providing aid for hurricane relief and disaster recovery efforts.

  • Books4Kids – Supporting student literacy by assisting with reading programs and book distribution.

  • Our Daily Bread & Family Promise – Serving or providing meals for individuals and families in need.

Local & Global Mission Projects

Each year, Peace Presbyterian also supports the four church-wide Presbyterian Special Offerings:

  • One Great Hour of Sharing – Providing disaster relief and assistance to those facing crises worldwide.

  • The Pentecost Offering – Funding programs for at-risk children and youth.

  • The Peacemaking Offering – Supporting ministries focused on justice and reconciliation.

  • The Christmas Joy Offering – Assisting retired church workers and racial/ethnic ministries.

Through these mission efforts, we seek to embody the love of Christ and bring hope to those in need. Join us in making an impact—through service, giving, and prayer.
