Earth Care

Peace Presbyterian Church is honored to be a certified Earth Care Congregation in the PC(USA), integrating environmental stewardship into worship, education, facilities, and outreach.

Our Earth Care Team—youth and adults—leads initiatives like alternative energy projects, composting, a Peaceful Path herb garden, and creation-themed book studies.

Join us in caring for creation as a vital expression of our faith.

Earth Care Pledge Highlights:

  • Celebrate God's grace and glory in creation in worship.

  • Educate and support one another in healing and protecting the earth.

  • Manage facilities with respect for all creation.

  • Encourage public and community action to protect and restore creation

A Covenant Network Congregation

Peace Presbyterian joyfully affirms its role as a Covenant Network of Presbyterians congregation, committed to full inclusion of LGBTQIA+ individuals in all aspects of church life.

We believe God's image is reflected in all people, regardless of orientation or gender identity, and that leadership in the church should be open based on calling and gifts—not human-made limitations.

Being part of the Covenant Network reflects our core values of welcome, hospitality, and justice. It helps us live out our calling as a church that:

  • Welcomes without exception

  • Loves without condition

  • Serves without fear

As we grow together in faith, we continue to listen for how God is leading us to be a bold, inclusive, and faithful witness in the world.

Matthew 25

Peace Presbyterian is a proud Matthew 25 Congregation, engaged in building congregational vitality, dismantling structural racism, and eradicating systemic poverty.

In partnership with STREAM (Stronger Together Reaching Equality Across Manatee), we work toward affordable housing and restorative justice in Manatee County Peace Presbyterian Church.

Key Pillars:

  1. Building Congregational Vitality — deepening faith, joyfully engaging with our neighbors in service and worship.

  2. Dismantling Structural Racism — actively opposing systems and practices that harm communities of color.

  3. Eradicating Systemic Poverty — collaborating with local partners to bring equity, opportunity, and dignity for all
