The Season of Advent

Advent is a season of preparation, a time to ready our hearts for Christ’s coming. This year at Peace, our theme is “Love Is on the Way.” Inspired by the hymn People, Look East, we’ll journey through imagery that reveals how Love draws near—as a guest, a rose, a bird, and a star—all leading us to welcome Love the Lord on Christmas Eve.

Throughout these weeks, we’ll light the Advent wreath, sing familiar carols, and practice acts of generosity that shine Christ’s light into our world. As we move toward Christmas, may this season invite us to pause, reflect, and embrace the gifts of hope, love, joy, and peace in every moment.
