Saturday, May 4, 2019 at 10 AM-12 PM, Peace Presbyterian Church will hold its first Health Fair to connect the community with medical groups and social organization that can ensure we live healthier lives.

Health & Wellness Community Fair

Do you think your child might need glasses?

Do you think you yourself might need hearing aids?

Would you like for your children to know about administering CPR – just in case. . .well, you never know?

Free hearing and vision tests and CPR lessons for kids are among the wellness-related activities offered at the Health and Wellness Fair at Peace Presbyterian Church. The church, located at 12705 S.R. 64 in Lakewood Ranch, offers this free health fair annually to promote wellness in the community it serves.

Some 36 vendors of health and wellness services will have exhibits at the fair. Besides the vision and hearing testing, these will include professionals addressing dental, emotional, exercise, nutrition, massage, STDs, aging and addiction concerns. Others will provide information related to poverty, depression and suicide prevention. A representative of Tidewell Hospice will offer information on end-of-life care. A new resource this year will be My Care Finders, a neutral broker to help people determine which agencies would serve them best.  Entertainment will be provided by the Batarista Drummers from Manatee School for the Arts. There will also be outdoor games for children, weather permitting. The CPR lesson for kids will be provided by a certified EMT.

All proceeds from the fair will benefit the concert series at Peace Presbyterian, which aims to facilitate peacemaking through music.
