Music & Art Ministry

We praise God with all kinds of instruments and voices of all ages. Every musical gift has a place at Peace.

At Peace Presbyterian Church, we believe music and the arts are powerful expressions of faith. Through singing, instruments, movement, visual art, and creative storytelling, we offer praise, deepen connection, and proclaim the Good News of Jesus Christ.

The Voices of Peace

Our Sanctuary Choir is an energetic, dedicated group of youth and adults who sing a rich mix of traditional, spiritual, and newly composed anthems. Together, we grow in faith, friendship, and musical skill as we lead the congregation in worship.

Ringers of Peace

Peace has been blessed with a wonderful gift of handbells, used to “ring in” hymns, preludes, and other musical offerings throughout worship. This joyful ensemble includes youth and adults, and often welcomes our youngest ringers for special occasions, creating beautiful, intergenerational music together.

Special Musicians

Whether through singing or instrumental music—accompanying hymns or offering solo pieces—our weekly worship services regularly provide opportunities for youth musicians, professional musicians, and other gifted individuals to share their talents in worship.

Drama

At Peace, thespians of all ages bring biblical stories to life throughout the church year. Through drama and storytelling, children, youth, and adults help lead worship and celebrate seasons such as Christmas, Palm Sunday, Maundy Thursday, Easter, Pentecost, and Reformation Sunday. Special presentations—like the Living Nativity—invite the congregation and wider community to experience scripture in creative, embodied, and memorable ways.

Music & Worship Conference

Every year, children and youth and adults from Peace travel to the mountains of North Carolina to participate in the Presbyterian Association of Musicians Worship and Music Conference in Montreat. This week-long conference offers rich, intergenerational worship and music-making for clergy, church musicians, lay leaders, choirs, youth groups, and families. Together, participants learn, worship, and create music that strengthens faith and builds lasting community across generations.

Concert Series

Peace Presbyterian Church is proud to host a community concert series that welcomes outstanding musicians and ensembles from throughout our region. Through this series, Peace opens its doors to outside groups who share their gifts by showcasing exceptional live music for the wider community. These concerts celebrate artistry, collaboration, and the joy of music that brings people together.

Peace is also honored to host the Lakewood Ranch Wind Ensemble for several performances throughout the year as part of our concert series, welcoming outstanding local musicians to share their gifts with the wider community. Visit their website here to learn more.

Music and the arts are prayers we share together. Every voice, every gift, every generation belongs at Peace.
